Tubular Net
If you can pack a grapefruit, a salami sausage or a kilo of hazelnuts with one hand, you are probably using tubular netting. Knitted as a continuous tube, it stretches to 3–5 times its compressed diameter and holds product firmly without crushing it. The use cases run from fresh produce retail to processed meat to consumer hardware.
Filesan’s tubular netting is HDPE extruded monofilament or PP. It ships on bobbins sized for your clipper machine, with core dimensions standardized for automatic packaging lines.
Where it is used
- Citrus retail packs. Lemons and mandarins shipped from the Mediterranean to European supermarkets travel mostly in tubular mesh.
- Meat, poultry, sausage casings. White tube netting ventilates in the chiller; clipper machines close both ends in one motion.
- Hazelnut, walnut, almond consumer packs. 250 g – 1 kg retail formats benefit from clear product visibility.
- Garlic, onion, dry beans. Different colors map to different product lines; nothing controls shelf perception faster.
- Toy and hardware packaging. Blue tubing holds product on the peg without obscuring the product.

Why bulk buyers choose Filesan
Most European packaging operations test our tubular netting on Polyclip and Tipper Tie clipper machines before adopting it. Our line is set up to match the bobbin and core tolerances of those machines.
Custom color tones not on the catalog? We run a private batch before your season starts. Confirm your spec and the sample ships at our cost.
Frequently asked questions
Which bobbin matches my Polyclip?
Polyclip FCA series typically runs a 76 mm cardboard core with a 3,000 m bobbin. Share your model and we recommend the exact match.
Is white the standard for sausage casings?
Yes; meat departments prefer white. We run food-contact and UV-stabilized versions for that application.
My color isn’t on the chart, can you produce it?
Yes. Send a Pantone code or sample swatch; private batch turnaround is 7–10 working days.
About the Filesan Expert Team behind this page
Tubular netting sits at the heart of an automated bagging line; a 0.5% tolerance error stops the line. Filesan’s calibration team maintains separate machine profiles for Polyclip, Tipper Tie, Velati and Inauen clippers. Our bobbin-diameter tolerance is ±2 mm versus a sector average of ±5 mm.
On meat and poultry runs, our chemistry lab tests every batch against migration limits (the regulatory test for substances passing from packaging into food) before shipment. The certificate ships with the container.
